We are in the YMCA building (by the Coop) North Road, Timsbury BA2 0JH

The library is part of the massive B&NES Council and Libraries West service with 2.5 million items available, though it is run by the community.

Opening Hours:

Mondays  2.30 – 4.30pm,   Tuesdays  2.00 – 4.00pm

Thursdays  1.30 – 4.30pm,   Saturdays  10 – 12 noon.

Click & Collect your next Book – Library members can log in and order from LibrariesWest which B&NES is part of. Ask to pick it up from ‘Timsbury Community Library’. or Phone to order via B&NES Council Connect 01225 394041 option 5 If you are a library member you can also download FREE books and magazines onto devices such as a kindle.

If not yet a Library member Join FREE now:

Regular Membership – fill out a simple paper joining form at our Library. Some ID will be needed to be shown in person when you go, even if you join via the website. Digital Membership – get this free by filling out the online membership application on the Libraries West website which B&NES Council is part of. Online membership lasts for only 2 years and can only access the digital services. To borrow physical books you have to convert this membership to a regular one and get a membership card from the library. The B&NES Council Home Library Service can arrange for a volunteer to bring books to a resident’s house if getting to us is tricky.

Library Groups

Cuppa & Chat every Monday 2:30-4pm – all welcome £1 for hot drinks and biscuits and plenty of chat. Book Club – Last Tuesday of the month , 2pm , come and discuss our monthly book over a hot drink and biscuits

  • jigsaw puzzles and board games to borrow too.

We are run by the Community!

The Library is run by 14 amazing volunteers who freely give their time and skills.  If you are interested to Volunteer with us, please contact the Coordinator below.

logo RGBThe Library service books etc. is one of  the B&NES Community Run Libraries. In Timsbury it is run by the Parish Council.

The Library is fully accessible for wheelchair users.

Phone Box Book Swap

Phone Box LibraryOn South Road the old red phone box is an informal book swap where anyone can leave or take books etc. as you want. It is self-managed (not by the Community Library) and so based on trust and occasionally anyone can tidy or clean it up. It is owned by the Parish Council.
