Another fine all round team effort saw Timsbury First Eleven overcome promotion rivals Lodway. Timsbury’s openers Mark Sage(41) and Jon Strand(47) gave the home side a solid base for the next three batsmen Ben Hosford(24), Josh Tucker(24no) and captain Jesse Bishop(32) to post a very useful total of 185-4 at tea. In reply the visitors did not enjoy the best of starts against Timsbury’s slow bowling attack. Freddie Hosford(2-14), Strand(3-16), Sam Hoddinott(1-32) and Greg Passingham(2-41) again highlighted the team effort, keeper Cory Versfeld contributed a very athletic catch as well. The visitors ended on 144-9 to lose by 41 runs.

The second eleven faced strong opposition away at Bristol Eagles as the home side rattled up an impressive243-6. Ben Saunder grabbed two wickets with one each for Zac Cox, Aaran Stewart and Laurie Jones. In response only Saunder with a hugely impressive 90 made any real headway as the visitors finished 153 all out to go down by 90 runs.

The Thirds unfortunately suffered another heavy defeat at home against local rivals Midsomer Norton. Nine of Timsbury’s batsmen recorded ducks only opener Paul Sage(12) and number eleven Martin Kendall(4) contributing, The 28 extras was comfortably the top score. Devon Baker(3-7) and Callum Bicknell did the damage, and Norton quickly knocked off the runs. Max Steeds took the consolation wicket.
