Meadgate Inn. The earliest reference is in the 1851 Census when Edward Clark is identified as the publican. At the beginning of the 20th century John Elliott was the land lord. You can just make out his name above the door.

Lower Conygre House — Edrich Hodder who lived in Lower Conygre House worked as a lime burner. The kiln was just along the track from the house.
