Elections

In May 2019 eight candidates, all currently serving councillors, who were nominated through the B&NES organised system to stand as Parish Councillors for Timsbury Parish Council, were returned unopposed without an election on 2nd May as a result of there being less than the 13 places available, which is based on the current electorate of 2,057.

Those re-elected Cllrs are: Mary-Anne Ansell, Sheila Clark, David Collett, Mike Horler, Ray Merchant, Derek Wheeler, and also Josie Pownall who was elected Chairman and Stan Martin as Vice Chairman.

On 8thMay four eligible residents were co-opted to the Parish Council: Victoria Ansell, Janet Durk, Jem Moore and Stacey Pottinger. On 3rd June another eligible resident was co-opted, Sean Stephenson-McGall, so filling the remaining vacancy.

In April 2019 four Parish Councillors had stood down; Veronica Packham after 30 years, 13 as Chairman, Rob Young after 24 years, Ruth Bailey and Dave Lorriman.
