Bus Service Petition
The campaign to restore regular bus services to the rural areas of North East Somerset is going ahead with a petition to Dan Norris, mayor of the West of England Combined Authority. WECA is the Transport Authority with £57m to spend on buses and the Government’s permission to support regular buses. It is presently providing the Westlink direct-response service conceived when the funds were restricted to new service only. South Road closure
On Tuesday September 26th the length of South Road will be closed from its junction with Southlands Drive to its junction with Mill Lane. This is required to enable National Grid to replace decayed electricity poles and reconductoring works for a maximum period of four days. Roger Bird – a Cricket Club legend
Roger Bird has been such an influential member of Timsbury Cricket Club for so long that it is difficult to envisage a future without him. He began playing for the club in the 1950s and has fulfilled nearly every position in the club both on and off the field.
