Timsbury Cricket Club’s first eleven will be led by probably the youngest skipper in its 150-year history with the appointment of 25-year-old Jesse Bishop. He will be replacing Jon Strand who has led the club with distinction but who felt it was now the right time to step down. Timsbury Athletic are through to the third round of the Somerset Senior Cup after a 4-1 home win against Highridge Utd . In the end it was a comfortable victory for the home side although the visitors from the Bristol and District League kept battling to the end. Timsbury Athletic suffered their first home defeat since their promotion to the Uhlsport Somerset County League Premier Division going down 3-2 against Middlezoy Rovers. Despite being without a number of key players Timsbury were always in the game and the result was in doubt right to the end. In the end it was a comfortable victory but it took the home side a long time to assert their authority against a side from Division 3 of the Uhlsport Somerset Senior League.
