A penalty in stoppage time saw Nailsea United progress to the final of the Uhlsport Somerset County League Cup for Premier and Division 1 teams after a 2-1 win at Timsbury. The B3115 Hayeswood Road from the junction with Tyning extending east to its junction with Priors Hill will be subject to a temporary road closure on 15th February 2024 for a maximum period of up to two days to allow for Openreach to carry out a pole replacement. Jesse Bishop was re-elected as first team captain when Timsbury Cricket Club held its AGM at the clubroom. Kevin Sibley remains as vice-captain and chairman Ben Hosford continues his dual role as second team skipper. Greg Passingham is the new second team vice-captain and has also taken over from Richard Davis as secretary.
