Most of the drama in Timsbury Athletic’s home match with Chard Town in the Uhlsport Somerset County League Premier Division came in the last few minutes of the game when the outcome of the contest changed three times. The B3115 Hayeswood Road from the junction with Tyning extending east to its junction with Priors Hill will be subject to a temporary road closure on 15th February 2024 for a maximum period of up to two days to allow for Openreach to carry out a pole replacement. Jesse Bishop was re-elected as first team captain when Timsbury Cricket Club held its AGM at the clubroom. Kevin Sibley remains as vice-captain and chairman Ben Hosford continues his dual role as second team skipper. Greg Passingham is the new second team vice-captain and has also taken over from Richard Davis as secretary. Timsbury Athletic moved up to third place in the Uhlsport Somerset County League Premier Division after another strong performance which saw them defeat the in-form Somerton Town side 4-1 at home. The visitors contributed much to a high-quality match and it needed two late goals to remove the tension and  wrap up the points for the home side.
