B&NES Council has allocated £547,000 to provide support to vulnerable residents faced with high energy costs this winter. Help will be provided via pre-paid debit cards and is available for all forms of heating including fuel oil and solid fuels. This is funding has been provided by the Department for Work & Pensions. Timsbury Athletic again demonstrated why they are one of the frontrunners in the Uhlsport Somerset County League Division 1 with a comprehensive 6-2 victory at home to Yatton and Cleeve Utd. Timsbury Athletic moved into the third round of the Somerset Senior Cup with a comfortable 4-1 home win against Wellington Reserves. First Division Timsbury Athletic twice came within one successful penalty of knocking out another Premier League side in the Uhlsport Somerset County League Cup competition for Premier and Division One sides but in the end it was Chilcompton Sports who prevailed to win the penalty shoot-out 6-5. Camerton Village Hall was packed for the annual Presentation evening of Timsbury Cricket Club with all three teams well represented. The evening began with applause for all those associated with the club who had been lost over the last couple of years.
