Growing on an allotment is a wonderful thing! Fresh air, good food and help with neighbours.
There are 66 allotment plots on a site off Lippiat Lane which are managed by a Committee on behalf of the Parish Council which owns the site.
You are welcome to apply for a full or half plot at any time. We help beginners to get going and keep going to enjoy some wonderful produce.

The allotments are financed by rents from the plot-holders which usually total about £1000 pa (depending on whether any plots are vacant at the time). This money is paid to the Parish Council who are responsible for paying for the water supply to the site and the overall infrastructure of the site.
The allotments Committee receive £400 pa back from the Parish Council to pay for upkeep and maintenance of the site. This pays for items such as communal tools, fuel, clearing of vacant plots, notice boards and hedge-cutting as decided by the committee. The committee are accountable to the plot-holders at the AGM in early December each year. The annual accounts are shown below.
