The campaign to restore regular bus services to the rural areas of North East Somerset is going ahead with a petition to Dan Norris, mayor of the West of England Combined Authority. WECA is the Transport Authority with £57m to spend on buses and the Government’s permission to support regular buses. It is presently providing the Westlink direct-response service conceived when the funds were restricted to new service only.
B&NES councillors are promoting the petition and inviting signatures from all residents with an interest in improving local bus services. The petition can be found here https://www.bathnesbuspetition.org.uk/
