Co-ordinator of the Timsbury Community Library
The Community Library in Timsbury opened in November 2018 and is based at the YMCA building in the centre of the village. The Library is part of the Libraries West system with B&NES. It is staffed by a team of Volunteers and opens on four days a week for two to three hours each time. It has become a very successful and much valued community resource.
The Timsbury Parish Council is now seeking a new Co-ordinator. The main tasks are to manage the Volunteers, liaise with Bath Central Library and to publicise the Library, including organising events. The Co-ordinator reports to the Parish Clerk and provides regular updates on the Library to the Parish Council.
The role is for 12 hours a week. Work is mainly during the day with occasional evening meetings. The Co-ordinator will be working from home as well as in the Library and visiting local groups. The appointment will be made on the NALC scale LC2 from point 18.
