New Pet Shop Opens – Canine Craze

20/07/2020 by admin Parish Council

Canine Craze Shop July2020 (2)

A new pet shop called Canine Craze has opened in South Road in what was the hairdressers. This is a welcomed new service that pet owners can enjoy. It is run by locals Emma and Liam who also provide dog walking and pet sitting
services.

“Canine Craze was formed in 2019 and is a family run business owned by Liam and Emma Craze. Emma started running the dog walking and pet sitting in 2016 when she was looking for a new career after many years in the Horse Racing industry. What started as a hobby, soon became a successful business and continued to expand resulting in Liam joining the company in 2017.

Our priority is to ensure a safe, fun environment for all animals under our care which can range from exploring the countryside with dogs to cuddling up on the sofa with cats. To us, a house is not a home without a pet. It was on a visit to Crufts in 2019 that we stumbled across a Natural Treat stall and thought we would bring some home for our dog Pierre to sample. He absolutely loved them, and after some further research we found them to be full of goodness with multiple health benefits. Pierre’s dental hygiene improved dramatically and as many are low in fat, he was pleased to hear he
could have plenty more treats without putting on weight!

We decided to start selling them to our dog walking customers on a small scale as we wanted to help promote a healthy lifestyle for our favourite work colleagues! They have proved to be a hit and become very popular resulting in us expanding to sell online and move into the Old Hairdressers on South Road where our new shop is based. We are passionate about promoting a healthy lifestyle for all pets, and we believe their diet is the best place to start. All of our products are 100%
natural and are free of any chemicals and nasty additives.

We also have a keen interest in reducing plastic waste and the impact it has on the environment, which is why we are trying to encourage customers to bring along their own bags / containers to refill with the goodies from our shop (an airtight container is recommended for the dog treats as they have a strong smell which doesn’t agree well with the human nose).
Our shop is dog-friendly so please bring them along with you if you visit.

We have a lot of ideas to try and bring the community together including social walks from the shop on weekends and talks from a variety of Dog Trainers and behaviourists.

We look forward to meeting you and  your furry family. For anyone unable to visit our shop, please give us a call as we offer free delivery to residents of Timsbury or we have a click & collect option on our website.”
