Maintenance of the Cemetery is the responsibility of St Mary’s Church and volunteer helpers, since the land it uses was donated by the Sambourne family early in the last century.
In recent years the Parish Council has contributed £1,500 a year from the Parish Precept towards the maintenance of the site.
From April 2017 this contribution has been increased up to £2,380 a year specifically to cover the costs of grass cutting.
It is expected that the cemetery will be full and closed to further burials in 5-10 years time.
