Our community Hub Library is at the YMCA by the Coop in North Road, Timsbury BA2 0JH. It has:
- 2600 books of the B&NES library, all part of their normal library Click & Collect service
- children’s section with comfy rug, 400 books, soft blocks and shapes
- drop in for tea & coffee and a chat
- newspapers and local information
- displays and exhibitions
- a computer with free wifi internet to use
- A3 and A4 printing, scanning and laminating service
- St Mary’s Primary school second hand uniforms to buy.
Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursday 2 – 5pm
Saturdays 9:30 – 12:30pm
These hours are subject to the availability of volunteers.
Groups to join in:
Mondays Baby Hour 2 – 3pm Free. Run by the mothers. Come for a chat, a cuppa and relax with your little one and others.
Pre-schoolers Storytime/Singing Tuesdays & Thursdays 2.15 – 2.45. Free. (Term Time only)
Memories of Timsbury group Tuesdays 3 – 4pm. Free. Join in with a chat about how various parts of Timsbury were and how they have changed over the years. Lots of interesting photos.
‘Gadget Busters’ It Surgery. Advice and assistance with devices with the expert Val Peters – Cost £3 with AgeUK B&NES. Mondays fortnightly 2.30 – 4.30. Next dates: 10th and 24th June, 8th July. Bring your laptops, tablet or mobile.
How it is Run
The Hub is run by over 20 amazing volunteers who are trained and freely give their time and skills.
The Hub is run by volunteers and managed by Timsbury Parish Council
The Library is one of B&NES Community Run Libraries.
The Hub is fully accessible for wheelchair users.

This Hub Library will over time take over from the B&NES Mobile Library service which will move on to service communities without one. We are arranging to ensure that everyone who uses the Mobile will not lose out.
The Home Library Service arranges for a volunteer to bring books to a resident’s house who cannot get out much.
Dial A Ride to the HUB
Midsomer Norton Dial A Ride can pick you up from your house to take you to the Hub which is in the YMCA building next to the Coop shop where you could do some shopping. The Hub Library has full disabled access. Press the doorbell for assistance.
