The owner has applied for permission to build 26 houses including eight ‘affordable’ on the derelict site by the junction of North and Bloomfield Roads. It will be named ‘Upper Conygre’ after the old coal mine there.
The plans have been consulted on in detail with the Parish Council over the last year and at two public meetings in the Conygre Hall. The owner has include most of our demands. Some important questions remain about roads and pavements outside the actual site.
The Parish Council will consider its formal comments to B&NES at its meeting on Monday, August 6th at 7.30 in the Tyning Room of the Conygre Hall. Residents are welcome to attend but permission to speak is required from the Clerk before the meeting starts.
Details of the application and a chance to make comments are on the B&NES website here.
