From September 2nd changes to evening bus journeys from Bath to Timsbury will bring an end to the Monday to Saturday 179 services that currently leave Bath at 7.40pm and 11.00pm.
Passengers for High Littleton, Timsbury and Farmborough will be able to catch the 172 service leaving Bath at 10.55pm as the existing route to Midsomer Norton and Paulton will be extended.
The present Sunday 179 service between Bath, Timsbury and Writhlington will continue unchanged.
The Monday to Friday 768 service operated by CT Coaches and connecting Timsbury with Bath, Englishcombe, Radstock and Clutton will be unchanged for peak hours. The off-peak service will consist of one bus operating between Bath, Englishcombe, Timsbury (Greenvale Drive), Camerton, Clandown, Radstock and Midsomer Norton (Tesco).
The changes have been announced following a review of non-commercial bus services funded by B&NES Council and the West of England Combined Authority. This found that the evening 179 services were costing more than £10 and £15 per passenger journey.
