An adaptation of Geoffrey Chaucer’s 14th-century classic “Canterbury Tales” will be the Timsbury Theatre Group’s next project.
A group of pilgrims, on their way to the shrine of St Thomas à Becket in Canterbury, stop at an inn. The landlord proposes a story-telling competition with the best story winning a free meal. The Group will be performing four of the best-known stories, including the Wife of Bath’s Tale and the Miller’s Tale.
“Canterbury Tales” will be on stage at the Conygre Hall from 27th to 29th April at 7.30pm. Tickets £10 each including a “Pilgrims Supper” – vegetable soup, bread and cheese.
